Espai Camí Show title: Prefaci ací / Prefaci allà, a Nord Installation – Barcelona During La Mercè 2025, a large figure could be seen at the entrance to Parc de l'Estació del Nord, welcoming everyone. A year later, for this year's edition, the figure has become two - taking on a new dimension - to welcome visitors at both park entrances. These are two gigantic figures emerging from beneath the ground - slowly and with a cheeky, unabashed air, owing to their hyperbolic nature. They have not come to occupy the space, but to alter it: rising from the earth, from the mud and from the myth of the "underworld" that they traverse to reach the "world above ground" where we, the living, reside. Their presence is too vast to go unnoticed, yet that is not their intent. They do not impose, nor do they ask permission to forge a path - rising like periscopes: two massive, slow-moving bodies reawakening and shattering the logic of the landscape. These are giant figures with chests puffed full of air, created by Marc Salicrú - an interdisciplinary artist, lighting designer, set designer and musician. Bodies in process; a work in a state of permanent construction. It aims to be a preface - a beginning before the beginning - anticipating what is to come upon entering the park.
