This monumental film has been remastered in 4K and will be in IMAX for the first time.
Description: Set in a dystopian Neo-Tokyo in 2019, the 1988 anime film Akira follows teenage biker gang leader Shotaro Kaneda. When his insecure friend, Tetsuo Shima, crashes into a powerful psychic child, Tetsuo develops terrifying telekinetic abilities. Captured by a secret military project trying to recreate the catastrophic power that destroyed old Tokyo, Tetsuo goes on a violent rampage, causing destruction on an epic scale.
