Choose between 10 km and 5 km routes. Our walks are restricted to club members who have paid $15 for a 12-month membership. However, if you would like to try one or two walks before committing yourself to a paid membership, you do have that option. In the subject line of your email, write MEETUP. **Register (sign in) at the start point between 9:30 am and 9:55 am.** The walk will start at 10:00 am **sharp**. Please be on time; **we do not accommodate latecomers.** ***Please note: Although the number of attendees indicated on this page may appear low, be assured that you will be walking with many club members who have not RSVP’d. We rarely have fewer than 15 participants at any of our walks.*** **ROUTE DESCRIPTION:** Most of the 10 km route is on trails inside Stanley Park. You will see breathtaking views of Vancouver harbour, city skyline, North Shore Mountains and passing famous landmarks and heritage features. The walk begins with Lord Stanley welcoming you into the Park. Continue on to the old Polar Bear Den, Aquarium, Brockton Oval, Totem Poles, then onto the Seawall for a short distance. Up the trails to Prospect Point and down to the Siwash Rock Viewpoint on another trail above the cliff, parallel to the seawall below. See the Siwash Rock from the top, instead of at sea level. More trails to Ferguson Point and Teahouse Restaurant. Finally, enjoy the trail along Lost Lagoon. Watch for the wildlife, including marine life, throughout your walk. There are two 5K routes: (i) mostly around the east side of the Seawall and back via the Rose Garden (ii) trails to Beaver Lake, then the Aquarium and back via the Seawall. Immediately following the walk, you may wish to join some of your fellow club members for lunch at the designated eatery nearby. *NOTE: Once you have RSVP’d, our Meetup site will always show your status as “Unpaid”. This is not a cause for concern.
