Fanfare Ciocărlia

Fanfare Ciocărlia is a large brass collective from northeastern Romania. With their traditional Ottoman funk grooves, they have been turning venues and festivals upside down worldwide since the late nineties. They are coming to Melkweg this autumn. Roma music

The members of this brass band learned their craft from their fathers and grandfathers, and approach every concert with pride as a challenge to both entertain the audience and keep the true spirit of traditional Roma music alive.
