The duo won the Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours in 2026. A duo with an interdisciplinary approach Tirso Ortis Garrígos (Spain) and Matiss Licis (Iceland) met at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. The duo focuses on new forms of percussion performance, often in collaboration with dancers, choreographers, and visual artists. In 2025, they realized a large-scale project featuring 6 composed works, 2 choreographies, and a collaboration with students from the Royal Academy of Visual Arts. Winner of the Grachtenfestival Conservatory Competition 2026 The jury of the Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours 2026 praised the duo for their refreshing repertoire choice and the transparency of their interplay.
