ArmorWorkshop – build, fix and mod armor.
Do you have cosplay armor, screen-accurate armor or combat/training gear that needs assembly, adjustment or repair? Or do you want to get started with your first armor build together with other nerds? Then ArmorWorkshop is for you!
We gather for a social, practical workshop evening focusing on:
• Adjustment of armor parts (strapping, velcro, magnets, hinges)
• Repair of cracks, loose glue, worn fasteners, etc.
• Comfort upgrades (padding, weight distribution, hidden fasteners)
• Surface work: sanding, filler, painting and weathering
• Tips for tools, materials and smart solutions
• Exchange of experiences and nerding about armor, props and costumes
Feel free to bring:
• Armor / parts / props you want to work on
• Reference images/inspiration
• Possibly your own small tools or special parts (buckles, webbing, magnets, glue, etc.)
There will also be access to shared tools and basic materials – we'll figure things out together.
Suitable for:
• Both beginners and experienced builders
• Cosplayers, prop-makers, LARPers, film/theater people and other costume enthusiasts
• You who either want to start a new project or just refine something you already have
Come as you are – go home with better armor, new ideas and perhaps some new collaborators.
*Please note: you do not need to pay anything to Meetup.com to attend a Bitraf event! They're just trying to scam you, reducing the value of their platform.*
