Sketching Session: Political Cartoons & Caricatures
About the event
It’s Election day! So to kick off the new season of the Sketching Club, we are going to try drawing political caricatures and comics! There's a rich history of political cartoons that have used visual metaphors to convey a point of view through humor.
We don't expect you to take a political stance. If you prefer, grab our reference books and try your hand at classic portrait caricatures instead!
No drawing experience needed, just your imagination! Free to join!
Details:
• TIME: 11:00. • VENUE: Kungsholmens Internationella biblioteket, on the second floor. • WHAT TO BRING: While material is provided for free, you can bring your own sketchbook/tablet. • FOOD & DRINKS coffee/tea will be provided.
This event is hosted by the Sketching Club gang, Pierre, Nina, Dhruv, and Dana, and is in collaboration with the lovely people over at Stockholms Stadsbibliotek (Stockholm Public Library).
