Ava Bahari
She loves chamber music, but was equally artist in residence with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra: Ava Barahari, described by The Strad as 'a remarkable emerging talent'. The Swedish-born violinist plays on a Stradivarius from Cremona, built in 1694. 'I want to show the audience in Amsterdam the similarities and the differences between the pieces – and the beauty of collaboration!' Bahari brings music from her homeland: Anders Hillborg wrote a new work for her. And who ever hears pieces by Elfrida Andrée or Boris Blacher? Bahari brings them together. More familiar works by Poulenc, Mozart, and Sarasate will be performed.
