A Tapestry of Colour and Sound | TOYLC26

About the Event

Art is more than paint and ink, and music is more than melodies and songs. Are you curious to know more about what we do? Come and join us to find out more about art and music therapy, and how we journey alongside those receiving palliative care.

This workshop will provide an overview of art and music therapy, followed by opportunities to experience some interventions used in pallative care.

Speakers' Profiles

1. Boo Xu Ning, MA, AThS

Art Therapist

Saint Andrew's Community Hospital

Xu Ning is a certified art therapist with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s in Art Therapy. Her current clinical practice involves working with patients in rehabilitation and palliative care settings.

In her free time, she often finds opportunities to engage in or create art. When she sets aside personal judgement of her own creations, art becomes comforting, therapeutic, healing and, most importantly, fun. These are the experiences she hopes to bring to the individuals she works with, creating a space where art can offer comfort, expression, hope and a sense of release.

2. Bernecia Low, MA, RMThz
