Friends Forest Tour #36 - Fullersburg Woods #2 - Group Anniversary #3!!!

Happy 3 years of our hiking group!!!! 🎉 I’m sorry for the delay, I’ve had some conflicts pop up and had to swap weekends and group leaders for this August hike. We are officially hiking on August 8th and keeping the 2nd Saturday date. I’m sorry for conflicting info for those that attended the last hike, my situation changed after that and I had to redirect again. Jeannine from the forest preserve district and one of our avid hikers will be leading our August hike! Fullersburg is a fantastic hiking spot, and since last year it has been the host to the annual duck race that the preserve runs. The hike will last about an hour and cover between 3-3.5 miles like our other hikes. For the year ahead I’m currently working on permits for all the hikes leading up to our 4th year anniversary in August of 2027 and will post them all next month so people can mark their calendars well in advance! While I’m bummed to miss this anniversary hike, I’m thankful for all the wonderful people that have joined us for our hikes over the years! I’ve got a full year planned out ahead with a few sunset hikes and longer hikes planned (optional) to offset the group stopping the after hike brunches. The brunches were great over the past few years, but a little stressful planning them last minute after each hike. Looking forward to more awesome hiking experiences in DuPage County with you all!!
