A downtown night market in the middle of the week! Oh yeah! Let's kick off the weekend early with First Thursdays:)
Food trucks and the heavy bass from the outdoor stages alongside other local techies and young professionals? Perfect. We'll start the night with an hour of app-guided chats to break the ice, and then we'll group up to dive into the open-air festival together.
We'll spend the first chunk of the evening rotating through quick 1-1 conversations, like speed-friending. The Gist IRL app handles all the matching, so you get to seamlessly meet different people and figure out who matches your energy before the real party begins. Once the chats wrap up, you'll simply choose the folks you had the most fun talking to.
Then comes the best part. We'll link you up into a small group, and you'll head straight into the festival to grab drinks and hit the dance floors together. By the time you wander into the main event, you have a solid crew of 4-6 to grab drinks and explore with. Whether these folks become your go-to First Thursdays nightlife crew or just fantastic company for one unforgettable evening, it's going to be an amazing time.
The Plan:
• 6:30 PM: Check-In. Follow the link to set up your quick profile on your phone. • 6:35 PM - 7:55 PM: One-on-One Rounds. The app pairs you for focused chats. Find out who shares your vibe, favorite street foods, and favorite city spots. • 7:55 PM+: Form Groups & head into the entertainment zone. Reconnect with your favorite matches, form groups of 4-6, and head into the entertainment zone to grab drinks and hit the street dance floors together — your group leaves together tonight.
Let's skip the routine of swapping LinkedIn profiles that gather digital dust, and actually grab drinks and explore the street party tonight. You might just meet your new lineup for future street festivals, night markets, and drinks to explore together.
And don't worry about trying to shout your phone number over the loud music—you can easily stay in touch with anyone you clicked with right through the app after the night ends.
I can't wait to grab some amazing food and hit the pavement with you all.
A few favorite spots nearby: Schroeder's - A historic Bavarian beer hall anchoring the Front Street Entertainment Zone, featuring giant beer steins, hearty German fare, and direct access to the outdoor street festivities. Harrington's Bar & Grill - A classic Irish gathering spot in the entertainment zone known for well-poured pints, friendly camaraderie, and a lively block-party atmosphere. The Royal Exchange - A buzzing downtown mainstay offering dozens of draft beers and a high-energy setting right along the pedestrian entertainment corridor.
