Dome Concerts presents: Andert Tysma – visuals Julius Horsthuis
About the event
Composer and ambient artist Andert Tysma plays the live premiere of his album Parallels at the ARTIS Planetarium. Fractal artist Julius Horsthuis provides the visuals. Together, they take you on an audiovisual experience under the dome. Music and visuals under the dome
Andert Tysma is a composer and ambient artist. He creates soundscapes in which acoustic instruments and electronics come together. His music moves between classical minimalism and contemporary ambient music. Themes such as nature, transformation, and transcendence take center stage. At the ARTIS Planetarium, he performs the live premiere of his album Parallels: a concert in which sound and image reinforce each other.
The album Parallels
Following the albums Children of Trinoom and Hana, both released via R&S/Apollo Records, Andert Tysma presents his latest work. Parallels explores the lives you lead and the lives you leave behind. He does this through expansive soundscapes and layered compositions. This concert marks the first time he performs this album live.
Fractal art by Julius Horsthuis
In addition to the music, fractal artist Julius Horsthuis provides the visual component. He is internationally known for his work with mathematical patterns and geometric shapes. His sculptures fill the dome of the planetarium and, together with the music by Tysma, form a single audiovisual whole. Are you interested in this concert? Use the link for tickets.
