Starjunk 95
About the event
Starjunk 95 is an anime-inspired fictional crew that runs an intergalactic radio station together. Each crew member brings their own sound, from dance to pop, steeped in vintage nostalgia. You will experience this musical world — somewhere between Cowboy Bebop, The Gorillaz, and Daft Punk — live at the Melkweg in Amsterdam during Amsterdam Dance Event. A live universe of music and story
Starjunk 95 is more than a band — it is a fictional universe. The group is built around an anime-inspired crew that runs an intergalactic radio station together. Each crew member represents a different musical style, from dance and house to pop and R&B. Every release is a chapter in an ongoing sci-fi story, taking you as a listener ever deeper into the world of Starjunk City.
Genres coming together on one stage
The music of Starjunk 95 mixes future funk, house, and speed garage with rap, pop, and turntable scratching. Think of the animation aesthetic of Cowboy Bebop, the eclectic approach of The Gorillaz, and the electronic energy of Daft Punk. The result transcends genres and connects vintage nostalgia with contemporary sounds.
