Nosferatu

★★★★★ ‘One of the most profoundly frightening horror films in years’ Clarisse Loughrey, The Independent Acclaimed filmmaker Robert Eggers returns to the screen one of cinema’s most iconic monsters. A variation on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, which was previously filmed by F.W. Murnau in 1922 and Werner Herzog in 1979, it’s perfect material for the filmmaker behind The Witch and The Lighthouse, not only drawing on his Gothic sensibilities, but also Eggers’ penchant for rich, evocative and era-specific dialogue. An all-star cast features Bill Skarsgård as the dreaded Count Orlock, Willem Dafoe as his nemesis, and Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp and Emma Corrin as the innocents trapped between them. Screening details: IMAX (with laser).
