🔆 SFCM's Faculty Artist Series brings their world-class faculty to the stage each season in performances of personally curated repertoire — a chance for the Bay Area community to experience the musical artistry behind the teaching.
Warren Wolf is an acclaimed jazz vibraphonist and virtuoso multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore, Maryland, celebrated for his dynamic, sophisticated, and nearly acrobatic post-bop style—technique so rapid-fire and exploratory that one critic exclaimed "he plays the vibraphone like an electric guitar!" Trained from age three on vibraphone, marimba, piano, and drums, Wolf blends post-bop jazz with classical, R&B, soul, and hip-hop influences, moving fluently across genres from straight-ahead jazz to chamber works. Also a dedicated educator, he performs globally, bringing his singular voice on the instrument to audiences and students alike.
