[Series: Bachata Dancing], "So You Think You Can't Dance" (7/7:45-10p)

We're returning to the latin dancing series and welcome newcomers. We will be meeting at existing free public salsa/bachata events, which often have free beginner lessons (just not enough lessons for people to pick up on so that's where Learning Let's Go picks up). Therefore, as long as weather holds up, our events will almost always occur even with low numbers.

Series: Bachata Dancing

• Every other Friday (The Anchor, 1 Shipyard Park, Charlestown) through 9/25, the main sponsor runs bachata lessons from 7/7:15p and plays music for the rest of the night (to 11p). Here's where we pick up as it's hard to really absorb lessons.

In this series, we'll be learning some basics of bachata dancing. We'll go over some basics steps and moves. Also, we'll plan to have a curriculum and records (based on the videos from Bachata Dance Academy so you'll always be able to review), trying to optimise for maximum memory retention and based off of things you already do so it's easier for you.

• Level 1: Beginner (basic steps, moves) • Level 2: Advanced Beginner (patterns, constructs) • Level 3: Intermediate (Following Youtube Bachata Dance Academy)

Note: This is a public event and it's requested that all Meetup attendees respect each other's space (i.e., asking if people feel comfortable doing certain moves), esp with bachata. Most people will do that, but since we're attending just be mindful of this.

Experience: This series is for beginners, but we will try be focusing on going through the online Youtube Series Bachata Danance Academy (https://www.youtube.com/@BachataDanceAcademy). No partner is required, but you should feel physically comfortable to try either leading or following.
