RIDDIM.EU brings together European dubstep crews such as Ascension (NL), Space Invaderz (BE), Cripta (IT), and Bassbox (DE) for a joint showcase during Amsterdam Dance Event. You will see performances by artists from across the European riddim scene on a 360° stage in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, this event is sold out.
European dubstep under one roof
RIDDIM.EU brings together the most powerful dubstep crews from the European continent. Organizations such as Ascension (NL), Space Invaderz (BE), Cripta (IT), Bassbox (DE), Riddim Restaurant (FR), Frat Budapest (HU), and Bass Project (FR) together form the collective. Each of these crews has its own fanbase and identity, but shares the same passion for riddim. The showcase revolves around that shared strength: artists from across Europe on one stage.
Intimacy and experience in Desmet Studios
The showcase takes place at Desmet Studio's, a studio café with a TV studio character in Amsterdam's Plantagebuurt. The venue accommodates up to 230 visitors and is known for its excellent acoustics. The 360° stage setup ensures that visitors are right in the middle of the music. The boiler room setting minimizes the distance between artist and audience.
Riddim as a movement, not as a genre
Riddim is more than a subgenre of dubstep. It is an international scene with its own aesthetic, community, and sound. RIDDIM.EU makes that connection between national scenes visible and gives European artists a shared platform.
