DC Gay Men’s History Book Club
Welcome! This is a book club based in Dupont Circle for gay men who share a passion for general history, biographies, and non-fiction.
While there are plenty of spaces for fiction, this club is dedicated to diving deep into major historical eras, world events, and political figures—all while building a great local community of history buffs in the DMV area. We keep things casual, intellectual, and welcoming.
Our First Meeting
• Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2026 • Time: 7:00 PM • Location: Kramers All Day Restaurant (1517 Connecticut Ave NW) – We will be meeting in the restaurant/bar area directly attached to the bookstore.
Kickoff Book
• Title: *Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation by Joseph J. Ellis.* • About the book: This Pulitzer Prize-winning classic focuses on the intense personal dynamics, backroom compromises, and bitter rivalries (including the infamous Hamilton-Burr duel) that shaped the infancy of the nation.
