LGBTQ+ Halloween Party @ Freddie's!

This is a fun, free to attend event open to all. Please RSVP at on [Evenbrite](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2000812083803?aff=oddtdtcreator) so we have an accurate group headcount. We will gather as a group on the front, enclosed patio.

As Madonna said, "Come join the party..."

Mingle with LGBTQ+ folk and allies. Halloween costumes are encouraged or casual beach attire is fine.

This event is hosted by Go Gay DC, Washington DC's inclusive LGBTQ+ community focused on friendship, leadership, and service. It now reaches over 10K fabulous people! Party with a purpose: In addition, as ongoing community service, if you can, please clean out your cupboard of unused, nonperishable food items for AFAC, the community leader in providing and promoting dignified access to nutritious food for people in need. This event will serve as a convenient collection point. AFAC distributes over 80,000 pounds of food to more than 2,500 families every week. 40% of that food is donated to AFAC from food drives like this and grocery store donations. Please feel free to bring as much food (cereal, canned goods,etc) as you wish, as it will be picked up that night and delivered to AFAC.

We hope you can make it! You may arrive at any time that's convenient for you. Bring your friends and meet new people from all over the world. We will gather near the stage as you enter. At least 50 LGBTQ+ folk are expected. Enjoy the cash or credit bar drinks. Just ask the bartender what the happy hour specials are. Scareoke starts at 8 p.m.

Metro Directions: Be eco-friendly. Crystal City Metro is the closest Metro stop. When you arrive, go out the station, walk towards your left to 18th Street and then veer right and walk under the Route 1 overpass to Eads St. Turn left and walk to 23rd Street. Turn right. Freddie's is up 23rd Street just a block. Just look for the rainbow flags on the right side of the street!

Parking is usually available nearby on the residential side streets.

Freddie's was voted the Best Virginia Bar by *Washington Blade* readers. Don't like a smoky bar? You are covered: Freddie's is a smoke-free establishment. (Ashtrays are provided in back of the building if smoking is 'your thing').
