About the event
Sound & Vision is a two-day artist development event connecting Austin’s emerging musicians with nationally recognized music industry professionals. The inaugural event features live performances, artist consultations, an industry panel, and networking opportunities. The four Sound & Vision artists (chosen by the panel of experts) —Montclair, LeTrainiump, Kohanna, and Soto The Activist—will perform live for four industry leaders and a public audience. Panelists: Tommy Borscheid (The Orchard/Sony Music), Ralph Torrefranca (Angry Mob Music), Emmy Black (Bar/None Records), and Evelyn Gómez Rivera (SXSW). Host: Laurie Gallardo of KUTX, Austin Music Hall of Fame inductee and seven-time Austin Music Award winner. This event is presented by Daydream Believer Creative and is supported in part by a grant from the City of Austin.
