🏡🍂 Saturday Café in Shoreditch at Museum of the Home 🥧
About the event
FRIENDLY REMINDER: while we're always 100% free to join, the cafes and pubs where we meet expect us all to buy something to eat or drink during our stay. Please respect these venues like when you normally go out with friends!
Join our Saturday Social for a chance to meet open-minded, international friends in London - this week we're gathering at one of London's hidden gem museums in Shoreditch. Whether you’re new to the city or just want great conversation, World Citizens' café social is the perfect way to ease into your Saturday.
✨ What to Expect: • A welcoming table or two at a beautiful museum café with multiple food and drink options. • We'll spend time socializing at the café and also explore the museum together. • Young professionals aged 20s to 30s, students, creatives, internationals. • Low-pressure, real conversations and occasional hosted discussions - no awkward silence. *• Afterwards: option for a relaxed open tour to explore the area or go for drinks, food or other activities together!*
🕑 Time & Place: • 1:30 - 2:00 PM: Casual mixing and some guided conversations • 2:00 - 4:00 PM: Visit the museum together. You can stay in the cafe if you prefer. • 4:00 PM onwards: stay there or walk around exploring the area, drinks and/or dinner later on.
🍺 The event is 100% free - but please order drinks/snacks throughout the event as it helps us stay welcome at the venue and keep our spot!
🌍 Who It’s For: • 20s & 30s: young professionals, grad students, creatives, internationals • Solo newcomers, returning members, and plus-ones are all welcome We always encourage diverse, inclusive and equal representation at our events ❤️
🤝 Why We Do This: Our café socials are part of the World Citizens community - a 100% non-commercial, volunteer-run group for those who value openness, culture, and real connection. Many regulars first meet here before joining our Friday Socials and other bigger events!
💬 New? Nervous? No worries! We’ve all been new once. Our volunteer hosts are friendly and happy to introduce you. Just come as you are!
