About the Programme
The Abilities Unlocked Series spotlights the lived experiences, skills, and talents of persons with disabilities, strengthening self-advocacy through inclusive programmes.
Join Jin Hui with the home-based microbusiness Crochet Connectz (founded by his mother, Ling), as he shares his journey of growing up with autism and how weaving has helped him build resilience, mindfulness, and confidence. Participants will also take part in a guided mindfulness activity using a handmade rainbow daisy made by Jin Hui, learning simple techniques to promote calmness, focus, and emotional well-being. This inclusive, sensory-friendly programme combines personal storytelling with a hands-on activity to foster greater understanding of autism through creative expression.
About the Organisation
Crochet Connectz is a Singapore-based inclusive home-based microbusiness founded by Ling, a full-time caregiver, together with her son Jin Hui, who is on the autism spectrum.
