Workshop ‘Artefacte: coses i ombres’, created by artist Xavier Bobés
About the event
What if everyday objects could tell us stories? This activity proposes a space for play and exploration centred on the poetics of everyday objects. The different wooden modules of Artefacte will be transformed into illuminated settings where objects cast their shadows and reveal the secrets they hold. This artistic proposal by Xavier Bobés has been specially designed to welcome groups from the fields of mental health and intellectual disability. Take part with your group in a carefully curated space for play and collective creation, where shadows and objects open up new forms of poetic and symbolic expression. Xavier Bobés is a self-taught stage creator. Passionate about the poetics of objects, he has been researching all kinds of everyday elements for more than twenty years. He collaborates with other creators, advising on processes of research and object-based writing, and combines the creation of his own works with rehearsal and teaching. Artefacte is a work of art, a versatile piece of furniture and workshop material all at once. It is also a mobile device that sits halfway between an artistic installation and an educational resource. It was conceived specifically to host mediation proposals created by artists such as, in this case, Xavier Bobés. Aimed at social organisations working in the fields of mental health and intellectual disability. Advance booking required
