Drawing to Music: Fairy Woods
About the event
For our next Drawing to Music evening, we’ll enter an imaginary forest through music, colour and drawing. This time, instead of listening to one longer work, I’ve prepared a small journey through shorter pieces by different composers — from quiet and mysterious to playful, strange, dreamy and a little wild:)
We’ll listen to music by Purcell, Mendelssohn, Ravel, Sibelius, Mel Bonis, Debussy and others. Between the pieces, there will be time to pause, look at what is emerging on the paper, exchange thoughts and simply enjoy being together. You can make one drawing, start something new with each piece, experiment with colours and shapes, or just follow whatever the music suggests to you.
There is no right way to do it, and no drawing experience is needed. This is not an art class — it’s a relaxed afternoon for listening, creating and sharing a space with other curious people. Some basic art materials will be available, but feel free to bring your favourite pencils, pastels, crayons, markers or paper. Tea and a few snacks will be waiting for us.
Contribution: The advance contribution helps me prepare the space, materials and refreshments according to the number of people who are actually coming, and confirms your place.
Looking forward to wandering through the Fairy Woods together 🌲✨
