*This is not a lecture where you sit quietly*
*and forget everything by the next morning.*
AWS Cloud Dojo is a weekly, student-led session designed to help you understand cloud properly, prepare for AWS certification exams, and build the confidence to explain your thinking in interviews.
Whether you are starting with AWS Cloud Practitioner or progressing towards AWS Solutions Architect Associate, each session combines theory, exam preparation and practical architecture building.
*What Happens Each Session?*
5:00 PM to 6:00 PM: Understand the cloud
We will break down the important AWS concepts, work through exam-style questions and discuss the kinds of questions you may face in technical interviews.
The focus is not just memorising the correct answer. We will unpack why an answer is correct, why the other options are wrong, and how the underlying AWS service actually works.
Expect theory, real examples, common traps and plenty of questions.
6:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Build the architecture
In the second hour, we move from knowing AWS to thinking like a solutions architect.
We will design architectures together, compare different AWS services and work through real scenarios involving scalability, security, availability, performance and cost.
You may be asked to defend your design choices, improve an architecture or explain why one solution is stronger than another.
In other words, we are going to grill cloud into our heads until services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS and VPC stop feeling like random abbreviations.
*Who Is This For?*
Complete beginners are welcome. You do not need prior AWS experience.
This is also suitable for students who are:
• Preparing for AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Studying for Solutions Architect Associate
• Getting ready for internships and technical interviews
• Building cloud projects
• Trying to finally understand what a VPC actually does
*What To Bring*
Bring your laptop, charger, questions and a willingness to be challenged.
Every Thursday and Friday
5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Alan Gilbert Building, Level 1
Free for students
Two classes. Two days. Every week.
We are not speed-running certifications. We are building people who can actually explain the cloud.
