In 2025, Ukrainian pianist Illia Fialko, who at the time was in the final year of his master's program at the Amsterdam Conservatory, was given the unique opportunity to perform as a stand-in for Youri Egorov in the Dutch film YOURI. The film tells the story of the friendship between two artists: Jan Brokken and Youri Egorov. Illia had to study Youri's interpretations, body language, and tempos to align with Egorov's recordings used in the film. Tonight, Illia steps out of Youri Egorov's shadow and presents his own interpretations of the pieces from the film.
