Dundarave Beach Paddle and Potluck BBQ Afterwards

This event is weather pending and subject to two days cancellation notice. We want warm sunny days with minimal winds. If the weather is bad or windy, the event will be cancelled due to schedule, safety and tidal changes. We will get a picnic table at Dundarave Park and set up a canopy. If picnic area is full, we will set up on the sandy beach. We plan to launch at around 530 pm. We will do crabbing, fishing, and paddling for approximately two hours. We will be paddling West along the shore before turning back to our launch site. If it's windy, we might cancel the paddle and just have an early dinner. We will have a potluck bbq after paddling. The potluck BBQ is only reserved for the paddlers who sign up for this event. We can idle our time away and enjoy the sunset before we pack up. For those of you with inflatable boats, please deflate your boats after you are done paddling. The hot sun and an overinflated boat can lead to future tears. The potluck bbq is also open to those members who recently went to the Lighthouse Park hike and wasn't able to the join the main group because of an error in my posting. I have contacted these members directly. There is no boat rental at this location so you have to bring your own boat. Your boat must be sufficient to handle ocean water. Members must wear floating devices while paddling. Members must stay with the group while paddling. By RSVP, yes, you agree to the risks in an outside environment. The organizer is not responsible for any injury, illness or any other liabilities you acquired before, during or after the event. We do not tolerate reckless behaviour. We are a group of volunteers and not professional tour guides. As a group of friends and acquaintances, we will look after one another. If you cancel, please be courteous and provide 48 hours cancellation notice so people in the wait list can be moved to going.
