Amsterdam's Oosterdok is launching Discover Oosterdok: a new interactive walking route that allows residents and visitors to discover the hidden stories of this neighbourhood. Along the way, you will learn more about the transformation of Oosterdok through games and stories: from the largest port in the world to a vibrant place for culture, architecture and innovation.

Amsterdam's 750th anniversary is a great opportunity to rediscover the city. This walk takes you along the beautiful Oosterdok, to teach you something new about the city you love so much.
The Oosterdok is one of the most dynamic areas of Amsterdam. Many people are not aware of its story. Discover Oosterdok wants to change that. Using the guide on your phone, you can dive into the past, present and future of this area in 90 minutes. Along the route, walkers can visit the cultural institutions and catering establishments that the Oosterdok has to offer, laze in the hidden greenery or swim at the first official swimming location in the city centre.
An experience for everyone
Expeditie Oosterdok pays special attention to accessibility. In collaboration with the Bartiméus Fund, measures are being taken to ensure that visitors with a visual impairment can also enjoy what the route has to offer. The walking route contributes to an Oosterdok where everyone feels welcome.
About Expedition Oosterdok
This walk was developed by Expeditie Oosterdok as part of the project Aanpak Binnenstad of the Municipality of Amsterdam, with the aim of showing that the Oosterdok is not only a transit route, but also a unique destination. Expeditie Oosterdok is a collaboration of cultural institutions and companies on the water of the Oosterdok. Together they improve the Oosterdok as a place to work, live and visit.
