Isabel Mulrooney is Desperate
About the event
It’s 2010 in Wagga and Isabel wants one thing: to be the Kooringal High School Captain, aka the most popular girl in school. You think this is about leadership? Wrong. It’s about who’s hot and who’s not.
Join Isabel as she prepares for her cutthroat campaign and relives the all-or-nothing world of high school drama, juggling friend groups, boy crushes, and her many extracurricular activities. Strap in for a feral joyride through parties in the paddock and punch-ons at the oval, as she guides you through the cultural ordeal of the 40-hour famine, the almost all-white version of The Wiz, and The Great Lesbian Epidemic of 2009.
In this high-octane, high-cholesterol, hilarious fever dream, Isabel will beg, borrow and steal her way to the crown. After all, this election is the most important thing in the school calendar and will prove what she already knows – Isabel is better than everyone in Wagga... or is she?
