About the event

The Seattle Polish Film Festival presents the film "Gorky Resort." In 1939, as war descends on Europe, thousands of Polish citizens are taken captive by the Soviet Union and subjected to relentless ideological indoctrination. An ambitious Soviet agent sets out to break the spirit of a young, world-renowned pianist and leader among the prisoners, believing that his surrender could force others to follow.
