Lecture: The creative story of music and gender norms
Mye står på spill når musikere bryter med normer og forventninger til kjønn og seksualitet, men likevel har vi sett utallige eksempler opp igjennom tidene. I dette foredraget ser vi nærmere på hvordan artister som går sine egne veier, kan sies å «skeive» og hva vi kan lære av artistenes metoder, stil og fortolkninger.

A lot is at stake when musicians break with norms and expectations around gender and sexuality, yet we have seen countless examples throughout history. In this lecture, we take a closer look at how artists who follow their own paths can be said to “queer” music and performance, and what we can learn from their methods, styles, and interpretations.
