Daily routines can help us exercise regularly, learn a language, develop new skills, make progress on important projects, or simply keep everyday life under control. But routines can also become rigid, unrealistic, or so packed with "good habits" that following them becomes another source of stress.
So, how can we design routines that actually work for us?
At the next meetup, we will discuss daily routines from a practical perspective. We will explore how to build routines around our own goals, circumstances, strengths, and difficulties.
Some of the questions we will discuss are:
1. Why have a routine at all?
2. What should we include in our routines?
3. When should we do different activities?
4. How can we make useful behaviours easier to perform?
5. How ambitious should a routine be?
6. How do we know whether our routine is working?
7. How much structure is too much?
We will also have time to talk about ourselves and brainstorm ideas for future meetups.
See you soon.
