Judy Trick first exhibited with Artsite Contemporary in 2014, and Full Circle marks her third solo exhibition with the gallery, following Surface (2021) and Unearthed (2024). Over more than a decade, her practice has been shaped by extensive travel — sketchbook and camera in hand, moving through landscapes across several continents before returning, always, to paint. She now works from a studio on the New South Wales South Coast, where the rhythms of the coastline have become as central to her practice as the journeys that preceded them. "Full Circle is a body of work about return — not as retreat, but as a deepening. For years my practice was defined by movement: new places, new light, new ground underfoot. This exhibition marks a turn inward; toward a landscape I now know intimately rather than one I am encountering for the first time. The paintings in this collection sit at the threshold between observation and memory. Skies dissolve into water; horizon lines blur where sea meets sky meets recollection.
