THEME: MOTIVATION & PURPOSE
*This meetup explores motivation and purpose through the lens of Emotional Intelligence: our ability to notice what is happening within us, understand what matters to us, and make choices that are aligned with our values and the impact we want to have.*
*Rather than treating purpose as a single, fixed answer to “What is my purpose in life?”, we will explore purpose as something that can exist at different levels. We may have a purpose for a particular moment, relationship, role, project, or our life as a whole.* *We will also look at meaning making of our intrinsic motivations and see how they drive us.*
*I'll bring some games and prompts to help structure the session a bit. You'll bring the willingness to reflect upon your purpose(s). Let's have an open mind, respect and curiosity towards others' perspectives.*
General meetup description: This is a casual coffee meetup for people who enjoy meaningful conversations and reflections. The idea is to reflect upon your emotional intelligence, see where is takes you, and listen to others and provide a different perspective, if they seek them.
No unnecessary advice, no pressure to perform, just a safe space to talk, listen, reflect and connect, at your own free will.
*IMP: If you RSVP and cancel, pls do so 24 hours in advance. Cancelling the night before on on the morning of the meetup makes it challenging for the facilitator to prepare well and in all honesty, is extremely disrespectful of others' time.*
Some ground rules:
1. Please be on time- it is not fair on other punctual participants and late comers can affect the team dynamics. Coming on time helps with proper introductions\, understanding rules\, and won't make things awkward;) 2. Please be respectful- This is non negotiable. *Difference of opinion is welcome, disrespect is not*. Homophobia, sexism, racism, name calling, bullying, shouting, etc. will not be tolerated. The discretion lies solely with the host. 3. Please show up- If you RSVP\, please show up. If you decide to not show up\, please withdraw your RSVP 24 hours in advance. There are people in the waiting list that don't get a chance otherwise and that is not fair to the ones genuinely wanting to attend. 4. Please order something at the cafe and show them support - they allow us to conduct these meetups peacefully <3
