As part of Vienna Design Week, Lobmeyr is shining a spotlight on contemporary Viennese hospitality and dining culture, presenting six installations by renowned designers and hosts. On display at the historic flagship store on Kärntner Straße are installations by architect Hermann Czech - who designed legendary Viennese establishments such as the Wunder-Bar, the Kleines Café, and the Salzamt, as well as by Michelin-starred chef Lukas Mraz, designer Laura Karasinski - who has offices in Vienna and New York - event planner Angela Mugnai from London, architect and passionate host Maria Planegger, and Alexandra Winkler, owner of the iconic Hotel Sacher. In various ways, they explore the dining table here as it navigates the tension between the necessity of eating, ritual, and a place for gathering and conversation.
