19th PyData Lisbon Meetup: Special on AI Infrastructure
About the event
Heya everyone,
We're excited to announce a Special PyData Lisbon Meetup, integrated into the Lisbon AI Week. The key theme will be AI Infrastructure, and it's happening next Tuesday at a different venue: Idea Spaces Saldanha
As usual, we'll have two presentations followed by pizza, drinks, and networking. Check the details below 👇
The LLM Stack: Inference, Accelerators, Open Models and Beyond Behind every LLM application are decisions about how models are served, what hardware they run on, and who operates the infrastructure. This panel brings together engineers to discuss how those choices are changing, from managed APIs and self-hosted open models to specialized inference engines and accelerators. We’ll explore the trade-offs in performance, cost, privacy and control, and what it takes to build, optimize and run these systems at scale. Joining the discussion:
• Miguel Silva, Solutions Architect at AWS • Samuel Arcadinho, Senior ML Scientist at Zendesk • Bojan Jakimovski, Machine Learning and Applied Research Lead at Loka • Sara Zanzottera, Agentic AI Lead at BGBx
Moderated by Tiago Mota, Tech Lead at DareData.
Getting Started with Self-Hosted LLMs - Miguel Silva (AWS) Talk description coming soon.
