Are you between 18–25 and want to meet new people without it feeling awkward?
Come join us for a fun and relaxed afternoon at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago!
We'll spend the afternoon exploring the zoo together, seeing different animals and exhibits, talking, taking pictures, and getting to know each other along the way.
No pressure to be super social. Walking around the zoo gives everyone something fun to do while making it easier to talk and connect naturally.
If you're thinking, *“What if I don't know anyone?”* don't worry about that. A lot of people who join our events come solo, and I'll be there to help everyone feel welcomed and included.
What We'll Do
• Meet together at Lincoln Park Zoo
• Introduce ourselves and get to know each other
• Explore different animal exhibits as a group
• Talk, walk around, and take pictures
• Take a break during the afternoon
• Grab food or drinks during our break if you'd like
• Continue exploring the zoo until the Meetup ends
Admission to Lincoln Park Zoo is free! Food and drinks are completely optional and at your own expense.
Please keep in mind that parking and transportation are also at your own expense.
Agenda
2:00–2:15 PM \| Arrive & Meet Up
Everyone will arrive at our designated meeting spot at Lincoln Park Zoo. We'll give everyone about 15 minutes to arrive and get settled.
2:15–2:25 PM \| Introductions 👋
We'll go around and have everyone share their name and two things they like. This gives everyone a chance to get comfortable and learn a little about each other before we start exploring.
2:25–4:15 PM \| Explore the Zoo 🦁🦒
We'll explore Lincoln Park Zoo together, visit different animal exhibits, take pictures, talk, and enjoy the afternoon as a group.
4:15–4:45 PM \| Break\, Food & Hangout 🍴
We'll take a 30-minute break to sit down and relax. Anyone who wants food or a drink can grab something during this time. Buying food is completely optional and at your own expense.
4:45–5:55 PM \| Continue Exploring 🐒
We'll head back out and continue exploring the zoo together, visiting any exhibits or areas we haven't gotten to yet.
Between both exploring periods, we'll have exactly 3 hours to explore the zoo.
5:55–6:00 PM \| Wrap Up 👋
We'll wrap up the official Meetup, and say our goodbyes.
What to Bring

• Money for food or drinks if you plan to purchase anything
• Money/payment method for parking or transportation if needed
• Check the weather beforehand and dress accordingly
After the Event
The Meetup will officially end at 6:00 PM, and I'll be leaving after the event.
Lincoln Park Zoo closes at 7:00 PM that day, so if you decide to stay longer, you're welcome to continue exploring or hanging out with other attendees until the zoo closes.
Anything after 6:00 PM is completely optional and will not be part of the official Meetup.
Weather Policy
This is primarily an outdoor Meetup. If it rains that day, the Meetup will be canceled.
