Join Music, Part Two, a unique musical experiment by Jam With Humans in one of Amsterdam's most charming independent bookstores. This event features multiple role-plays and a 'choose your own adventure' concept with live music. You can actively participate in creating new sounds, or sit back and relax and enjoy the performance, perhaps even with a good book.
Word part of a complex creation
Music, Part Two brings Dada-esque and clownish shows to the stage, supported by experimental music. The entire project revolves around the (impossible and meaningful playful) premise of creating entirely new music, a 'part two' to complement all existing music. The initiative originated in 2024 from the desire to start an experimental electroacoustic project within Jam With Humans.
The evolution of a musical idea
The concept took shape through brainstorming sessions via voice messages between Daniel and Nic of Jam With Humans. They describe how the audience can be involved in the creative process. The idea of playing these voice messages during the show, thereby taking the audience along on a journey through a story while live experimentation with sounds takes place, makes the project complete. Founded in 2016, Jam With Humans is an Amsterdam-based music collective focused on teaching and performing disruptive and inclusive contemporary music.
