Let's paint the fall colours at Queen Elizabeth Park!
About the event
Introduction Make your way to the garden that is called the Large Rock Quarry. It’s below the arched Japanese bridge. From the bridge, you can get a good view of the garden below. Right below the bridge, there’s a group of trees that turn such beautiful colours in the fall, from red to orange to yellow. We'll meet on or near the grassy lawn below, in the large rock quarry garden.
I’ll post a few photos of this area.
When to meet Let's meet at 11:00 am, disperse to paint for three hours and then meet back at the starting point at 2:00 pm to share our work.
What to bring Bring your painting or sketching supplies and perhaps a folding chair. All levels of expertise, from beginners to experienced painters are welcome. Remember to dress for the weather as it can be chilly at this time of year.
Parking: All the roads on the hill that are within the park have metered parking, which is the same price as the big parking lot on the top of the hill. I have found free street parking in some of the residential areas nearby. Washrooms: There are two public washrooms, one near the Seasons in the Park restaurant and the other by the Pitch and Put parking lot.
Meetup Fees donations Just a friendly reminder that I am accepting donations of between $5 to $20 to help cover the cost of the annual Meetup fees, which run between $550-$600 a year, depending on the US exchange rate.
I look forward to seeing you under the Japanese Bridge at Queen Elizabeth Park!
