Latin Fridays w 9 de Barrio + Sarita Levya!

Fridays, we go to the tropics, where the vibrant rhythms ignite our souls, and live music, dance lessons, & DJs make it a perfect night!

This week, 9 Del Barrio, Toronto’s newest compact salsa band, blends Puerto Rican and Venezuelan salsa with Dominican merengue and Colombian cumbia. The band delivers relaxed yet high-energy grooves marked by punchy horns and catchy melodies. Led by acclaimed bassist Ruddy Bolanos, a veteran of the Toronto Latin scene since the early 1990s who has worked with major international and local artists, 9 Del Barrio brings together top-tier musicians from across Latin America, making them a powerful presence in Toronto’s salsa scene and an ideal fit for intimate venues and special events.
