Bisamberg Loop
About the event
A ride around the Bisamberg. Enjoy the picturesque scenery of the surrounding vineyards. Gentle hills, shady paths, and historic cellar lanes await us. Hop on your bike and come along—for a leisurely late-summer ride!
1. Warming Up: From Steinitzsteg to Langenzersdorf
We start our tour at Steinitzsteg and take the flat bike path parallel to the Danube to ease into the ride. We roll leisurely into Langenzersdorf, where we can chat comfortably side by side.
2. Into the Vineyards: Langenzersdorf – Bisamberg – Klein-Engersdorf
From Langenzersdorf, we continue on to the village of Bisamberg. The scenery now shifts from the river to the first vineyards. We head toward Klein-Engersdorf along quiet paths, where the landscape gradually becomes hillier.
3. The challenging stretch: From Klein-Engersdorf to Hagenbrunn
Now the slightly more challenging part awaits us. The trail leads us slightly uphill toward Hagenbrunn. Here, we make sure to maintain a steady pace so that we stay together as a tight-knit group.
4. The Leisurely Stage: From Hagenbrunn to Stammersdorf
After the climb, we reward ourselves with the ride to Stammersdorf. We reach the famous Stammersdorf Kellergasse.
5. The Cool-Down: Stammersdorf – Langenzersdorf – Steinitzsteg
The route heads out of Stammersdorf on flat terrain and back to Langenzersdorf. We’ll use the final stretch to Steinitzsteg for a leisurely ride along the Danube.
Distance: 34 km Elevation gain: negligible Maximum elevation: 229 m Speed: Probably 18–20 km/h, but the slowest participant sets the pace. Surface: Mostly paved. Break: 5–10 minutes, approximately halfway along the route.
