Most people feel a yearning for meaning, connection, and spiritual elevation and of course there are many advantages to the new technology in spiritual work: we can talk with one another across the world, explore spiritual websites for educative purposes, freely read previously rare books from spiritual teachers, enrol in online courses and engage in chat groups to satiate our need for spiritual-based content and conversation.
However a phone-based life can also conversely fill our yearning for meaning, connection and spiritual elevation with trivial and degrading content. The Ancient Wisdom certainly advised us to be more deliberate in choosing what we expose ourselves to in our relation with other people and now with the potent new communications technology.
