About the event

A Spectacular Sydney Harbour Walk from Circular Quay to Newtown.

As we commence our walk from Australia's busiest commuter port at Circular Quay, we follow the Harbour through to The Rocks, where the land was colonised in 1788 changing the area as we see it today. We pass some historical buildings and structures including one of the oldest building's on the continent. We continue past the International Cruise Terminal and walk under one of the most recognised bridge's in the world - the Sydney Harbour Bridge, we know as the Coat Hanger.

We will walk around the Pier's that have public access and into the reclaimed green space of Barangaroo Reserve, the new Crown Casino, Restaurant Precinct of Barrangaroo & Darling Harbour, over the famous Pyrmont Bridge and then continue around the harbour to Glebe passing another iconic bridge; The Anzac Bridge.

Discover one of the world's largest and best seafood markets with loads to choose from for our lunch today with beautiful harbour views. You can also check out the speciality retail shops on this modern multi level building which was only completed this year.

We will then leave the harbour behind and walk up some of the famous food precincts of Sydney being Glebe Point Road & King Street. I will point out some of the Yummy Food Establishments on the way.

As we look at all the restaurants and cafes, why not join in on an optional dinner at one of the great eateries after the walk.

The walk will be all on sealed pathways and will be fairly flat.

Start Point: Circular Quay & Finish Point: Newtown. Distance: 16 km (approx.) Please bring; snacks, hat, sunglasses, 2 litres of filtered water.

Gratuity: This is a Free Walk.
