THE MOVIE is the debut experimental documentary from MoCo natives, Lincoln He and Sabrina Li. Set against the backdrop of a brutally defunct Lakeforest Mall, THE MOVIE follows our protagonists as they believe, doubt, will, and disbelieve all over again.
He and Li filmed this project over the course of a year. With shared access to the same footage, the two split off to make two parallel but different cuts. The first part, "Let's Go Into the Dark," shows what happens when three friends enter an abandoned mall on the night of a blood worm moon. The second part, "End of Summer, 2026" is everything that happens after.
