About the event
Come check out *Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma* a new slasher film sendup by Jane Schoenbrun. The film will be bookended by a visit to the ICA Museum and a bite at Pressed Cafe.
Description: Directed by Jane Schoenbrun, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is a surreal, comedic, and blood-soaked horror-romance. It follows Kris (Hannah Einbinder), a queer indie filmmaker hired to reboot a trashy 1980s slasher franchise, who tracks down the original film's reclusive "final girl" star, Billy Presley (Gillian Anderson).
NOTE: Indications are that this film is rather bloody - like Carry levels of blood- so please take note if you don't have a high tolerance.
Details:
*We are going to the 3:45PM showing. • You can either on the Fandango App or Alamo Drafthouse's [site](https://drafthouse.com/boston/show/teenage-sex-and-death-at-camp-miasma?cinemaId=2901&sessionId=34262&date=2026-08-22). At the time of this posting, Row 5 is available so would advise folks choose seats there.
2:30pm:
Meeting Option 1: Meet at the Boston ICA museum at 2:30pm. There is currently a Derrick Adams exhibit that would make for a fun tandem with the film IMO. We'll meet at the museum > spend apprx. an hour > take a quick walk over to Alamo Drafthouse.
*Museum admission is 20 for adults; 15 for students.
3:30pm:
Meeting Option 2 (Skipping Museum portion): We'll meet at the Alamo entrance at the top of 3rd floor escalator at 3:30pm. I'll be the bald Asian guy wearing a black movie-themed t-shirt & baseball cap.
3:45: Trailers and ads start. Alamo Drafthouse typically runs 10-15 minutes of trailers.
4:00-ish: Film starts!
Afterwards: We'll head to [Pressed Cafe](https://share.google/N2kOAh9UItvXcmHsT) nearby for a post-watch bite.
