JACOP annually organizes BUNKA-SAI at International Ontmoeting / SAKB KunstLokaal in Amstelveen. This festival celebrates Japanese culture and brings people together for a day full of creativity. The event mimics the atmosphere of cultural festivals organized by Japanese students at school, with a focus on handmade activities and a lively, open vibe.

BUNKA-SAI offers various activities for visitors. You will find retro games, a bazaar, and diverse Japanese snacks and sweets, including takoyaki and okonomiyaki. Japanese youth from the Netherlands and Dutch organizations contribute to the unique atmosphere that you would normally experience at a Japanese summer market.
Enjoy performances and workshops
Live music and performances can be enjoyed in the former ODIN gymnasium. Additionally, you can participate in various workshops.
