Community Health Access Program Drop-in

Public Health-Seattle & King County's Community Health Access Program (CHAP) connects county residents to health insurance, health care services and other resources. All services are free. CHAP is usually a telephone-based program, but a CHAP navigator will be available at Ballard Branch each month to provide their services in-person.

CHAP can help you:

• Understand and compare different health insurance options for yourself or your family

• Sign up for health insurance

• Learn about health screening services and sliding scale clinics

• Explore breast, cervical and colon health programs

• Connect with maternity or child development support services

• Sign up for low-cost or free transit through ORCA LIFT

• Enroll in benefits programs like Basic Food/SNAP or WIC
