About SNF 2026: *Myths and Legends*
From ancient myths to modern legends, stories shape how we understand our communities, histories and sense of place. This year, Singapore Night Festival transforms Bras Basah.Bugis through immersive artworks, performances and reimagined storytelling traditions. Explore the precinct and uncover the hidden narratives woven into its streets, landmarks and people.
Festival Director's Message
At its core, Singapore Night Festival 2026 explores storytelling as a vessel for cultural memory. Drawing inspiration from the myths, legends and histories associated with Bukit Larangan and the wider Southeast Asian region, the festival reflects on how stories are passed down through generations, shaping our understanding of place, community and identity. Through experiences that reinterpret folklore for contemporary audiences, we invite visitors to uncover the narratives embedded within Bras Basah.Bugis and consider how these shared stories continue to connect us across time, cultures and spaces.

This is an all-weather event. Where there are thunderstorms, we will adjourn for coffee or early dinner. We will resume the walk once the rain subsides.
