π Cyanotype Workshop β Closer Exhibition π·
About the event
This October, Iβm doing something a little different from my usual photo walks.
As a special accompanying event of the Closer exhibition, Iβm hosting a Cyanotype Workshop β a chance to slow down, experiment and create images using one of the oldest photographic printing techniques.
Cyanotype is a camera-less photographic process known for its beautiful, deep blue colour. Using light, objects, shapes and a little bit of experimentation, weβll create our own unique prints together.
No previous photography or art experience is needed β just bring yourself, your ideas and some curiosity. π
βοΈ Experiment, Create & Play
During the workshop, Iβll introduce you to the cyanotype process and guide you through creating your own prints.
Youβll have time to experiment with different compositions, materials and ideas, see how light transforms them, and discover the little surprises that make this analogue process so special.
There are no perfect results to aim for β the workshop is about exploring the technique, playing with possibilities and enjoying the process of making something with your own hands.
π· Photography Without a Camera
One of the most fascinating things about cyanotype is how simple the basic idea is: light becomes part of the image-making process itself.
Whether youβre into photography, art, design or other creative fields β or youβre simply curious to try something youβve never done before β youβre very welcome.
Everything you need for the workshop will be provided, so you only need to bring yourself, your ideas and your openness to experiment.
