For the Record – Stories for Life, Love & Legacy | TOYLC26 Highlights
About the event
About the Event
Most of us think of legacy as a will, property, savings, things to divide. But what people remember about us rarely lives in legal documents. We live on in the stories we tell, or fade in the ones we never got around to.
For the Record invites you to pause, reflect on your own life, and recognise that your story truly matters, not someday, but now. It's a practice we keep putting off, harder before it becomes liberating.
Through guided reflection and a hands-on recording activity, you'll leave having started telling your story, for yourself, and for the people you love.
This programme is in collaboration with Singapore Hospice Council (SHC).
About the Speaker
Kenneth Wong
Founder of Legacy-Ark
Kenneth helps people record the stories of their lives, through Legacy-Ark, the personal history practice he founded in Singapore. He holds a Master of Gerontology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences and is a certified Guided Autobiography instructor.
Trained originally as a fine artist and commercial photographer, his path into this work has been anything but linear, shaped along the way by his own experience navigating career, identity and fatherhood.
He also serves as Secretary of Silver Caregivers Cooperative, a caregivers' support organisation in Singapore.
This programme is suitable for seniors.
